What do you do when faced with a nefarious foe?
This movie falls into the same category as Pump Up The Volume, it made me want to use my computer for less than noble purposes when I first watched it.
What are my thoughts after rewinding and reviewing?
Celluloid Crusader - Hacker? I think not.
But still it's a great movie to watch with only one issue to address.
One problem any movie based on computers will always have is by the time you watch the movie the computers are kinda laughable. But please put this minute detail to the side and sit back and enjoy a fun movie.
Hackers is filled with some fun characters and (now) familiar faces.
When a movie opens with a SWAT team raiding a house you can know something interesting will happen in the film. (I am not going into detail but it sets up the motivation for the main character)
The opening title sequence is a neat play on a city tranforming into circuitry complimented by a great song.
Angelina Jolie plays the initial adversary to our lead but, they soon join forces for a greater good. (all together now....awwwwww)
Without commenting on thelack of realism in the movie (oops just did) I would just recommend you check your brain at the door and sit back and enjoy a great ride.
Once again, I have chosen a movie with a great soundtrack.... Check it out if you can
Keep an eye out for: Felicity Huffman! playing the prosecuting attorney.

Yay Crash and Burn!! Although the skateboard riding nutcase bad guy is a bit odd! Plus the music in this film is insanely awesome!

The Single Life
It has stood up to time better than Hackers and has an excellent cast led by Robert Redford.
