The Princess Bride

When I first saw this movie I was entranced by the love story, mesmerised by the swordfights and annoyed by the little man who always said, "Inconceivable". Plus it was cool that Australia was mentioned in the film.
After rewinding and reviewing?
I am not so annoyed with the little man and am still mesmerised by the sword fights. The love story is a great driving factor for the movie but, is unrealistic and has made me realise that where I got my romantic expectations from.
As an adult I have been able to realise the more subtle comedic aspects of the movie as well.
When Inigo finds the man who killed his father and says his prepared statement over and over again... Funny.
When Vizzini continues to say inconceivable constantly and is eventually told by Fezzik (played by Andre the Giant) that he doesn't think it means what Vizzini thinks it means...Funny.
When Buttercup kisses the Senile King and tells him she is committing suicide and he responds Won't that be nice....Funny.
All told this is a fun fantasy film and is a brilliant way to spend time.
Keep an eye out for: Billy Crystal! he plays Miracle Max, the bringer of the half dead back to the fully living.
My favourite quote was
See of course this would lead to unrealistic expectations about love.
But now my favourites are

My favourite quote was
Since the invention of the kiss there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind. The End
But now my favourites are
You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.
andGet used to disappointment.
