Toy Soldiers

Before Sean Astin was Sam Gamgee- Hobbit, he was Billy Tupper- private school reject.
When I first watched this movie over 10 years ago the thing that I liked most about it was the idea of making mouthwash purely from alcohol. (have since tried the recipe and it doesn't taste too great but is a great decongestant)
So after rewinding and reviewing what do I like most?
It's got a lot of thrills and a dash of comedy, which is a better recipe than the mouthwash.
So what is a devoted son to do when his father iskidnapped extradited to the US to face criminal charges? Well plan A doesn't quite work so he moves on to plan B.
Plan B consists of taking a judges son hostage at his private school but, the kid has already left the school.
So with plan A and B up the creek he improvises.
Some of the kids have parents who are rich and influential, so you should be able to use them to get what you want. You would think it would be that easy.
Too bad these kids have an issue with authority and know how to improvise some shit of their own.
This movie is enjoyable from beginning topredictable end.
Its got comedy, action and thrills definitely check it out with a few mates because some of the jokes are best shared.
Keep an eye out for: Jerry Orbach! as Albert Trotter one of the 'influential' parents.
At the beginning there is a nice little conversation regarding prep school etiquette...very funny! The conversation is preceeded by this gem.
